Trail Running May

A short entry to celebrate May 2015

May has been a wonderful month of me in the period of self-finding. Not that I am lost, but for the sake of me trying everything and to give full commitment on it.

I marked May 2015, the month for me to do nothing but join trail running events and here it is:

1- Xterra Langkawi - 21km (proud to say i placed 3rd in my category)
2. Deuter Trail Run Putrajaya - 12km (finisher)
3. King of Kemensah Trail Run - 21km (finisher)

happy girl!
Xterra Trail Run was pretty tough - the 1st 10km had me thinking hy I did sign up for a running competition when I could just enjoy the holiday here in Langkawi. The weather was perfect and the company was great, but running? haha. The trail led me to probably the peak of Telaga Tujuh and it was crazy!

At the 11th km I met a fellow runner and had to ask how far the run covered so far, having knowing the km covered and theres only 10k to go had me a little teary. Tears of joy that there was only 10 to go!!

Overall it was a good run.

Deuter Trail Run was not as fun as I thought it would be because of the lack of recovery from Xterra. I am sure if I had longer recovery time, I would probably do better. Another reason is also because I had packed a tonne of weight during the recovery time.

That is something I am currently working on. The magic 11 .. heh!

King of Kemensah Trail Run - due to unforeseen circumstances, I arrived late to the running event but managed to finish the run in the most uncomfortable woman problem-of-the-month time! The pain was excruciating but I have a stronger mental set for long distance running.

Having finishing ALL these races made my day and the total mileage clocked for May is (proud to say 95km)

So what is in store for me in June? Since Ramadhan would also be in the month of June, I would say
working harder on the magic 11!!

Already signed up for my first FM this year with Standard Chartered in October and Nuang Marathon in November, training will go on as usual in Ramadhan, only hopefully effective on torching the 11. haha I sound so mean but i am DEAD serious!

Ramadhan posts - Trans Batu Puteh, ABC and Jordan all in the mix! Till then!

The GAP year

happily married on the last day of 2017  Feb 2016 was the last post. Since then a lot has happened. Took a while to adjust to my new lifestyle.  Truthfully, still adjusting. Happy? Needless to say, you might not recognise me this time around from the extra extra pounds I've successfully put on. I visited this blog sometime last week and immediately thought, OMG what happened. I still think I should continue to blog. So this post, is the 1st for 2018.

Kathmandu, Nepal

This will be my entry on Kathmandu. The perks of having a travel journal. You write it down. Close the book. Open it again few months later, you will remember the places you have visited. Even the tiniest detail that you probably have forgotten! It has been a few months since my last trip to Nepal, and it seemed like its been too long. Reading back on the notes, I think it is high time to me to transfer everything down here, and probably leave the itsy-bitsy detail in my book. It was my first visit to Nepal, and I certainly hope it will not be the last. Our first day setting foot in Nepal was Kathmandu. The busy streets, the locals, hikers, tourists, bikes, cars and the dusty roads is exactly what I've pictured prior setting foot here. Experiencing it on the other hand is another story. Wee morning in Kathmandu. I love how the mornings here is chilly in March and before the roads get all dusty and warm, it is then the city comes to life! The colorful and pre...
